Welcome Doggy by Design dog Grooming salon in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire (Whatriggs rd) & Self service Dog wash station. Where your beloved furry family member will be pampered and receive the Glow up they deserve. We are insured and qualified to take the best care of your precious pet. Your pups comfort and well-being are at the forefront of our service. Trained in dog behaviour, nervous dogs and puppies are welcome and we offer introduction sessions to have them familiarised with us, our salon and the equipment, step by step at their own pace so that they are calm and happy at the groomer going forward. We offer a pick up and drop off service to your door for an extra charge, please ask when booking. We also offer a day care, should you require us to keep your dog for the full day at an extra charge of £20. Please let us know early as we only offer this service for 1 dog per day.

DE-SHEDDING GROOM
Do you find excess dog hair lying around your home? A de-shedding groom removes up to 50% of the dogs excess coat compared to brushing at home, majorly reducing shedding hair!
De-shedding helps your dog by brushing out the excess shed you help keep dirt, debris, and bacteria away from your pup’s skin which can lead to infections if not removed properly. Also if not removed can cause matting and overheating in your pet.

This treatment takes 2-4 hours depending on the size of your dog, condition of their coat and tolerance for grooming. Any excess time required will incur an extra charge.
FULL PAMPER GROOM
Your best friend will be deeply cleansed in a bath with a facial treatment, blow dried using our professional pet dryer and styled and finished to your requirements. Ear cleanse, a paw-dicure and spritz of luxury cologne!

SELF-SERVICE DOG BATH
Bringing Kilmarnock it's first DIY dog bath! This is all the rage in England. Come to use our professional dog bath and pet dryer to make this process hassle free! Let's face it, bathing your dog at home is a carry on, trying to bend over the bath putting strain on your back, trying to keep the dog from jumping out the bath, then come the big shakes where your bathroom gets soaked in wet dog water. Then there's the drying them, chasing them around with a human hair dryer trying to stop them soaking your bed and sofa!
Our bath is equipped with a lead to secure them, non slip mat, a waterproof apron for you and washing mitts and also doggy shampoo for you to use!

We recommend that you bring your own towel to pat dry before blow dry. If your dog has any skin conditions that require specific shampoo, please bring these with you.
PUPPY INTRO TO GROOMING SESSIONS
The package includes five introductory sessions to grooming, where your puppy will build on socialisation and nail clipping right up to a full groom.
Session 1 - Socialise, comb out, nails. £16
Session 2 - Socialise, comb out, face, feet, and bum. £16
Session 3 - The above with full bath and dry. £25
Session 4 - Full groom from £35
As part of this package, our qualified grooming stylist will advise you about caring for your new puppy, including tips on behaviour, grooming & teeth brushing. Puppy orientation is the perfect package to ensure your dog gets the best start to their grooming life. Book all sessions together and pay only £75,

ULTRASONIC TEETH CLEANING
Protect your pet’s dental health with a regularly scheduled oral hygiene routine. We use state-of-the-art oral hygiene technology which has no movement or vibration, offering a stress-free and pain-free experience for your pet. Great results can be seen after just one session.  £28 initial consultation & clean, £15 thereafter.Â
Please note some dogs will not tolerate having their teeth cleaned, if this is the case and we can't complete the initial consultation and clean then only £14 will be charged.
PAW-DICURE
Your pups paws do alot walking and need some TLC from time to time. A paw-dicure includes a nail clip, clip of hair between the paws, and a nourishing paw treatment to help releive dry and cracked paws. £16.

Like any tradesperson, the cost of the groom is dependent on the time that it takes. Every dog is different and an estimate of time and price will be given on consultation. Please disclose any conditions and your dogs temperament to grooming per our policies, this will allow us to give you a more accurate price at the start. We abide by the Animal welfare act and will not make a dog suffer with undue stress due to grooming so if they are becoming distressed we will take regular breaks and work at their pace to avoid any accidents. This will obviously take us more time and therefore incur a higher charge as we will need to push back our other appointments also. We are more than happy to do sessions with nervous dogs to get them accustomed to grooming before we start. This will mean less cost for you in the future.
